This position works directly with all levels of management, employees, external agencies, organizations and consultants to advance employee and customer understanding and awareness of LES’ vision, mission, goals and strategic priorities.
CORE COMPETENCIES & ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Responsible for strategic communications tailored to key stakeholders using all types of communication channels to ensure attainment of goals and objectives. Develops and executes strategies and messaging for public outreach initiatives, events, programs, corporate announcements construction projects and public engagement. Works directly with all levels of management, external agencies, organizations and consultants to advance employee and consumer understanding and awareness of LES’ vision, mission, goals and strategic priorities. Project Management – The ideal candidate establishes project goals, milestones, and procedures, deﬁnes roles and responsibilities, acquires project resources, coordinates projects throughout company, monitors project progress, and manages multiple projects.
Participates in the development and implementation of company-wide strategic communications, marketing, public relations, media relations and event planning.
Uses project management techniques to plan, coordinate, execute and evaluate communications plans, activities, special events and projects to ensure compliance, eﬀectiveness, maximization of eﬀorts, and achievement of established goals.
Tracks, maintains, and analyzes metrics and survey results for trending, develops recommendations, uses appropriate analytic tools, executes tactics to achieve desired results, and prepares management reports.
Creativity and Innovation – Seeking an individual who thinks “out-of-the-box”, generates new ideas, challenges the status quo, takes appropriate risks, supports change, encourages innovation, and solves problems creatively.
Manages external advertising, video production, and marketing agency relationships to translate desired communications and marketing strategies into deliverables through plans and appropriate media buying. Utilizes social media tools to promote programs, projects, events, and other LES-supported information applying the latest techniques for targeted audiences.
Writes, edits, and coordinates all forms of internal and external corporate communications including newsletters, corporate announcements, publications, talking points, news releases, video libraries, etc.
Decision Making – The individual ﬁling this position moves quickly to make good decisions and commit to a clear course of action; comfortable making sound decisions based on partial information; willing to take appropriate risks in order to maintain momentum; shows a strong bias toward action.

Coordinates photography and archiving of photographs for accessibility, when needed.
Shares knowledge with executive management and staﬀ as the subject matter expert on marketing, research, communications, program promotions, and social media.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related ﬁeld, and
Four years of progressively responsible experience in area of assignment, or
An equivalent combination of education and experience suﬃcient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
