Cox Media is looking for a strategic and results-oriented Sales Services Specialist to play a pivotal role in partnering with Digital Sales Manager, Digital Analyst, Digital Strategist, Sales Consultants, and Sales Services team members in developing innovative digital client advertising solutions. Specialist works in synchronized collaboration with Digital Sales Manager, Digital Analyst, Digital Strategist, Sales Consultants, and Sales Services to build upon customer needs analysis data, develop proposals and presentations, and develop customized client solutions. Role strategizes with Digital Sales Manager, Digital Strategist, Digital Analyst to be sure campaign elements are executed. Position also takes responsibility for troubleshooting and working to solve complex internal and external customer problems.

Reporting to the Director / Manager of Media Sales Services, with a dotted line to the Digital Sales Manager. The Digital Media Sales Services Specialist III coordinates and troubleshoots the acquisition and fulfillment of digital advertising orders for accounts and also works with the Digital Sales Strategist to understand what tactics we have sold so that while supporting the Digital Sales Analyst we have a full understanding of the campaign. The Digital Media Sales Services Specialist III will work closely with the Analyst to understand reporting and get more involved with building dashboards to assist the Analyst. The Digital Media Sales Services Specialist will put in the data entry for campaigns into our IO system.

The Media Sales Services Specialist III is part of a fast-paced organization with a keen focus on the ever-changing digital world. This role involves working closely with Digital Media Sales Manager, Digital Analyst, Digital Strategist at times sales consultants and clients as well as other internal staff to create quality schedule proposals that reinforce the solutions selling model. Specialist serves primarily internal customers but at times may have to be on a phone call with a client to review a campaign or a client question. Collaborate to Develop Client Solutions with digital team and sales consultants, based on client needs analysis, at times sit in on BOS client meetings, to develop complex client solutions which include advertising campaigns with multiple products and complicated schedules.

Works independently and collaboratively with sales consultants to maximize revenue and fulfillment potential Accurately submits all digital advertising schedules, and various billing orders using the appropriate fulfillment processes and systems, Analyze and update current reports, track current orders, review trends in fulfillment, inventory availability and work with analyst when needed to supply end of month campaign results. Ensure that approved advertising creative is submitted accurately, and corrected if necessary.  Collaborate with sales consultants to provide follow-up information and post-campaign details to clients along with digital team.
Troubleshoot insertion orders submitted, offering expertise on creative as needed. Support the client
through contacting to obtain information or by informing them about campaign changes, responding to
questions, solving their campaign challenges, and handling any other requests by phone or in person.

Support: Investigate and resolve credit holds and misapplied payments, along with maintaining records. Initiate and take action as needed to engage sales consultants in modifications, changes, and/or client notifications needed, Investigate and resolve impression and creative, including maintaining records and keeping balance on all revisions and new orders.


Minimum Requirements

  • One year Cox Media Sales Services or Sales experience (internal applicants)
  • One year experience in a sales environment
  • Six months experience using Microsoft Office applications
  • 16 years of age or older
  • Eligibility to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Post high school education pertaining to sales, advertising or marketing
