The Digital Sales Manager will help lead the stations’ efforts in the development of new and incremental digital business and work to reduce digital churn through insightful reporting and recommendations. The DSM will work side by side with the stations’ sales management while coaching, training, mentoring and leading a group of high-performing local Account Executives.
This is not a desk job – our next DSM will hit the streets daily alongside our Account Executives to uncover digital revenue opportunities and help local businesses grow through strategic, multi-screen solutions. The Digital Sales Manager will work in concert with our General Sales Manager and Local Sales Managers to provide a unified approach to client solutions.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a consistent and successful track record of leadership in developing sellers and delivering strong sales results.
Duties/Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
? Manage, coach, train, support and motivate the team of local Account Executives and support staff in the Lincoln, Grand Island and North Platte sales offices
? Lead digital sales efforts by participating in client meetings, building relationships with top clients and being active in the community
? Responsible for achieving the stations’ digital revenue goals
? Drive profitable growth through management and oversight of ad inventory across core site and audience extension networks
? Ensure the sales team understands and utilizes digital and broadcast tools and resources to ensure effective marketing campaigns
? Work alongside current leadership in cultivating and promoting a positive, successful culture
? Ability to forecast revenue, develop and sustain a business plan to exceed sales revenue objectives
? Remain current on industry trends in the digital space; e.g., mobile, display, CTV, SEM, email marketing, and social
? Develop and deliver best practices for digital knowledge among the sales staff and clients
? Proven track record of success in sales and extensive knowledge of digital marketing
? Positive, result-oriented attitude with a passion to help businesses grow and team members succeed
? Established leadership skills that include the ability to train, coach, and motivate individuals and a team
? Strong organizational skills to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects at once
? Ability to manage the decision-making process quickly, accurately, and calmly while adapting quickly to changing priorities
? Ability to analyze and interpret data to make data-driven decisions and recommendations
? Creative mindset to convert challenges into opportunities
? Understanding of digital revenue forecasting and pricing models to drive growth
? 2 years or more experience in sales or digital marketing preferred
