Social Media & PR Strategist

About the job

The Social Media & PR Strategist needs strong writing, communication and organizational skills to develop and distribute a variety of content, including social media posts, story pitches, news releases, blog posts, editorial calendars, media placement analytics reports, presentation materials and much more. The Social Media Strategist must have knowledge and experience with social media technologies/platforms. The ability to prioritize is essential to thriving in this position. The position will assist in developing and executing effective strategies and tactics for agency and client campaigns and will involve direct communication with clients.

Note: Flexible scheduling including working from home or remote working are options.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Work with clients to create and manage the execution of the overall social strategy and activation
  • Manage and execute daily social media requests and questions
  • Monitor and engage across clients on all social platforms
  • Craft daily, monthly, quarterly content calendars
  • Create social media presentations for clients with the guidance of the Head of PR & Social
  • Ensure all social media campaigns deliver upon the assigned scope
  • Monitor coverage and generate reports
  • Advise Bozell staff on the latest social trends and educate/implement as appropriate
  • Conduct research initiatives to identify and prioritize social opportunities
  • Seek opportunities to learn and grow by continually providing point-of-views
  • Represent Bozell at industry events
  • Represent the agency and/or clients on community, professional industry and service initiatives


  • 3–5 years of professional experience
  • Social media, media relations or PR agency experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Experience with Sprout Social is a bonus
