Ad execs can now be professionally certified in ethics. The Institute for Advertising Ethics created a self-guided, online professional certification program that covers ethics in advertising, developing an ethical organizational culture and legal issues. Advertising is “virtually the only profession without an independent ethical standards or ethical certification,” says IAE’s Andrew Susman of the need for the program. The Institute for Advertising Ethics (IAE) has rolled out the first official version of a training and testing program to certify industry pros as ethical advertising executives.
