This year’s judges come from the east coast, the west coast, and the north coast:

MIKE KRUEGER
Digital Director
BROKAW ADVERTISING, CLEVELAND, OH
For over 6 years, Mike Krueger has been the Digital Director at Brokaw Advertising, the “world’s greatest advertising agency” (google that phrase). He’s worked for brands you’ve heard of like Minute Maid, GE, Dupont, JBL, Cedar Point, Glidden, Forest City Enterprises, Duck brand duct tape, and Henkel. Mike got his BA in Communications and his BFA in Fine Arts from Cleveland State University. His guilty pleasure is eating the wrappers on cupcakes (don’t judge). He lives by these words: “You build the trust of those in front of you by not talking behind the backs of those who aren’t.”

ANNA CHAPPELL
Senior Art Director
BROWN PARKER & DEMARINIS ADVERTISING, BOCA RATON, FL
Anna realized she wanted to be an art director in 7th grade after shadowing a family friend working in an ad agency. She would follow her passion, graduating from the University of Alabama with degrees in Advertising and Graphic Design. Since then, her career has taken her on a fifteen-year, cross-country adventure with stops in Florida, Washington DC, and Nebraska, creating smart and award-winning campaigns for brands like Dell, Audi of America, Publix Supermarkets and Abbott Laboratories. Today, Anna is a Senior Art Director with Florida’s Brown Parker & DeMarinis Advertising, one of the nation’s premier healthcare marketing agencies. In addition to her work, Anna is passionate about her family—including her partner Eric, their twin toddlers and two rescue dogs.

MIKE RUSHING
Associate Creative Director
RIESTER, LOS ANGELES, CA
Mike got his start in 1998, which makes him nearly 85 in Advertising Years. He currently leads creative at the Los Angeles office of RIESTER, an independent agency with additional offices in Phoenix, New York and Park City, Utah. Mike’s clients have included Travelocity, Kaiser Permanente, Covered California, Discover Los Angeles, Scottsdale Tourism, Chumash Casino Resort, PIMCO, MidFirst Bank, HERDEZ Salsa, Wholly Guacamole, and one not-so-glamorous weekend on Harley-Davidson. His work has been featured in Adweek, US Ad Review, and he’s no stranger to the American Advertising Awards | Nebraska, although this is his first time serving as a judge. In his spare time, Mike enjoys camping, collecting vinyl records, and searching through old agency pitch decks for biographies more cleverly-written than this one.
