This month, Bozell and AAF Omaha have asked marketing and ad agencies in Omaha to donate money to the ADvance Omaha Fund. The ADvance Omaha fund is an initiative focused on closing the diversity hiring gap, starting with our very own marketing and advertising communities right here in Omaha. The funds raised for this initiative will go to the following local nonprofit organizations: Culxr House, Seventy Five North: Code Camp, Noise, and I Be Black Girl.
The funds raised for the Advance Fund will be transferred to the selected local nonprofits on Thursday, August 20.
The Community Outreach committee has been working together to produce a detailed plan that will provide guidance on how AAF Omaha can introduce, engage, and collaborate with these local nonprofits. The Community Outreach committee plans to leverage the strength of every AAF Omaha committee to build relationships with these great organizations.
In addition to working with these local nonprofits, our committee is still dedicated to reaching out to area schools and colleges as well as organizations like Omaha Home for Boys, 100 Black Men, and Girls Inc.
We are working to build our Community Outreach committee. Thanks to our current committee members: Mike Gilloon of Bozell and Abiolo Kosoko of Big Brothers and Big Sisters. We are looking to add 3 additional committee members to help with our year’s goals. Please reach out to either Rod Coleman or Suzanne Kulkinski to learn more!
