Announcement October 23, 2023 to Greater Omaha Chamber Members
Heath Mello, President and CEO of the Greater Omaha Chamber announced to Chamber members on Monday, October 23, 2023 that the Chamber signed a memorandum of understanding with the Aksarben Foundation to assist them with InternNE Powered by Aksarben. This unique workforce initiative represents a $20 million collaboration between the Aksarben Foundation and the Nebraska Department of Economic Development.
Mellow stated in an email letter to Chamber members that “InternNE Powered by Aksarben will bridge the gap between student interns and employers across the state by providing them with financial support.”
Mello’s letter further explained that Chamber members will have the ability to access interns for your business, as well as to receive up to $7,500 per intern they hire annually.
