Say hello to Mikenna Onorato, a rising creative force and one of AAF Nebraska’s standout student members! Mikenna is a Graphic Designer and Illustrator with a passion for visual storytelling and a knack for tackling creative challenges with energy and collaboration.
Her journey with AAF Nebraska began in fall 2024 through a UNL class project where she and her classmates pitched concepts for the American Advertising Awards | Creative Nebraska. Her team’s playful and bold “Clue” theme—based on the classic board game and film—was selected, launching Mikenna and several of her classmates into a hands-on partnership with our Creative Nebraska committee. Mikenna helped bring the awards show to life by designing sponsor banners, specialty drink signage, and whimsical table centerpieces that tied the mystery theme together. She and her fellow students also rolled up their sleeves to help set up the event, gaining valuable experience in branding and event production.
Mikenna recently attended our Meet the Pros conference and continues to sharpen her skills as a Graphic Designer with Jacht Ad Agency, UNL’s student-run advertising agency. Known for her adaptability, team spirit, and creative curiosity, Mikenna is one to watch as she continues growing in the design world. She is set to graduate in 2026.
