‘Speaker Hadley: Lawmakers had great session’
(Nebraska Radio Network) — NebraskaRadioNetwork.com reports that that Speaker of the Legislature, Sen. Galen Hadley of Kearney, said he considers the 2015 legislative session a successful one. The story notes that lawmakers passed an “$8.6 billion two-year budget.” Speaker Hadley said he disagrees with criticism that senators have lost touch with the voters, “arguing lawmakers work hard to keep in touch with their constituents.” The story also notes that Speaker Hadley “gives a great deal of credit to the 18 freshmen senators for shaping the session. Hadley says the large freshmen class came in aggressive, wanting to make a difference, immediately.”
