AAF Nebraska Annouces 2025 Scholarship Recipients

Omaha, Neb. — August 12, 2025 — The American Advertising Federation Nebraska (AAF Nebraska) is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 Student Scholarships, awarded annually to outstanding students pursuing careers in advertising, marketing, public relations, and related fields.

This year, AAF Nebraska awarded scholarships to eight talented students from colleges and universities across the state, recognizing their academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to the future of the advertising industry.

“These scholarships represent AAF Nebraska’s mission to invest in and foster the next generation of advertising professionals,” said Teri Hamburger, Executive Director of AAF Nebraska. “We are so proud of this year’s recipients and inspired by their passion, creativity, and drive. Supporting these students is not only an investment in their future, but also in the future of our industry.”

2025 AAF Nebraska Scholarship Recipients:

  • Mikenna Onorato, University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Major: Graphic Design
  • Tia Broadwell, University of Nebraska at Kearney, Major: Visual Communications & Design Comprehensive, Minors: Marketing & Management
  • Diego Garcia-Reyer, University of Nebraska at Kearney, Major: Visual Communications & Design Comprehensive
  • Riylnn Lutt, University of Nebraska at Kearney
  • Jay Castaneda, University of Nebraska at Kearney, Major: Visual Communications & Design Comprehensive
  • Faith Rasmussen, University of Nebraska at Kearney, Major: Visual Communication & Design Comprehensive
  • Laura Carnahan, University of Nebraska at Kearney
  • Liana Jablonski, University of Nebraska at Kearney

Scholarships are made possible through the generosity of AAF Nebraska members, sponsors, and community partners who contribute to student development initiatives as well as through AAF Nebraska’s active accounts with the University of Nebraska Foundation and the Creighton University Foundation. Recipients are selected based on academic performance, professional potential, and involvement in extracurricular, community activities and engagement with AAF Nebraska.
