Day Under the Dome

Recap of Ad Day Under the Dome | March 23

AAF Nebraska’s Legislative Team and active members from across the state of Nebraska met and made connections with the Nebraska Legislature and Representatives as citizen advocates for the advertising industry. This year’s Day Under the Dome in Lincoln took place on March 23rd.
AAF Nebraska members met with seven Senators and the staffs of four more. Nebraska is the only state with a unicameral legislature. The group also had an audience with Governor Jim Pillen (R) to talk to him about the importance of advertising to the Nebraska economy.

Day Under the Dome is part of a nationwide network of AAF government relations efforts to create a strong future for the advertising industry. In addition to maintaining a presence on Capitol Hill, AAF chapters throughout the nation also maintain relationships with local and state legislators. As grassroots advocates efforts are made to ensure the advertising industry is represented and that legislators have experts they can contact about the impact of bills they consider during each session.

If you want to know more about our AAF government relations efforts here in Nebraska, get in touch, and we’ll connect you with our Legislative Chair, Robert Richardson.
