Bob Mancuso: Director, Mid-America Expositions, Inc.
I came to Mid-America Expo in 2005. Our Company produces trade shows, events, and festivals. The Omaha Health & Wellness Expo, the Triumph of Agriculture Expo – Farm & Ranch Machinery Show, the Taste of Omaha, the Nebraska Balloon & Wine Festival, and the Omaha Products Show for Business & Industry are a few of our shows.
I also am Chairman of the Greater Omaha Sports Committee which promotes sports in greater Omaha and the Midwest. We run the Outland Trophy Award Dinner and the High School Scholar Athlete Program and other events.
Prior to joining Mid-America Expo, I worked at Mutual of Omaha in the Customer Service Division and also worked at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. I am a graduate of Iowa State University and have a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Creighton University.
I have been a member of AAF since 2011 and have been on the Public Service Committee since 2012. I have been on the AAF Omaha Board of Directors on the Public Service Committee from 2014 to present.
What do you do in your free time? Any hobbies?
I enjoy bicycling! It is just fun to get out there, ride with friends, see new places, and get some excercise. I am on the board for the Omaha Pedalers Bicycling Club and it is a fun group with events and rides throughout the year. I also take an annual bicycle trip with some friends. You really get to know an area when you ride on a bicycle. It is just the right speed where you can see the country and area and also still cover some ground.
Cats or dogs?
Both – I grew up with a dog and we have had mostly cats in our family. At this time we have both cats and a dog.
What’s your favorite place to vacation?
Love Florida to visit. From baseball, to body surfing, to restaurants, to bicycling on our annual trip, to just hanging out! A couple favorite spots are Miami Beach and Key West. Fort Myers Beach is fun too with Times Square.
Favorite AAF Omaha event to attend?
I really enjoy our Lunch programs. A chance to consistently network and meet new people, to see other AAF members, and to enjoy the luncheon. There are always great speakers and an opportunity to learn new information which can help you in your work life and also just in general.
Favorite brand mascot? Ex: Mr. Clean or the Charmin Bears
My favorite brand mascot would have to be “Cy the Cardinal” the Cy as in the mascot of the Iowa State Cyclones. Cy is fun and a great ambassador. Being an ISU alum for my undergrad, Cy goes to the top.
