David Lempp, Viamedia
I am excited that I started on a new path just six months ago with Viamedia as the Local Sales Manager in Omaha. You may not know, but Viamedia represents satellite, telecom, and cable systems in 70+ markets plus specializes in providing digital audience strategy to clients. Viamedia is proud to represent CenturyLink in the metro area and I, along with Amy Storz, provide a local presence to the market with our products and services. It is exciting to see the growth of our subscribers and our clients in just a few months.
My journey in marketing actually started in Spain where I promoted a bar to American exchange students in addition to some bartending. Creating bar ambassadors was not a challenge, but it sure was fun as well as a unique experience into the field of promotion! I later came back to the states where I represented ESPN and NEXTEL while traveling across the US to share products and services of those companies during sporting events. Needless to say, I had to get off the bus since I traveled 300 days of the year and having hit 46 of the 50 states. I then landed at KAZO 57, the local Azteca America affiliate. That is where I began my television sales career. Most of my eight years at FOX 42 KPTM I was Research Director and I found it is the people and their passion in the advertising community that makes this such an exciting industry.
I’m in this career and my position because of the influence, work, and advice of those in the Omaha advertising community. I am thankful to continue to be part of this great community; I believe it is a shared passion to provide excellence in service and results to our clients at every touch-point in that process that makes the time away from family and friends so meaningful.
