I joined AAF when I was working as a Marketing Specialist for a non-profit. I really love how the topics discussed at the AAF events are very often applicable for both non-profit and for profit businesses. I recently accepted a new opportunity and am now working as a Graphic Designer for Fat Brain Toys. I am definitely a child at heart and am loving working in this field.
What do you do in your free time? Any hobbies?
I am a crafter at heart. I love making things, especially if it involves my Silhouette Cameo cutter. I began my design career in the screen-print industry, so apparel design will always have a place in my heart!
What is your passion in life?
My passion in life is my children. I used to say it was design, which is still true, but those kids…they teach me the true meaning of creativity. The best job title I ever got was Mama.
What’s your favorite place to vacation?
My absolute favorite place to vacation is the upper east coast. New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island…all such beautiful places. Our oldest daughter found her love for the ocean in Rhode Island and we are all dreaming of our next trip there, hopefully next year. She is 3 and literally saving her pennies to go!
What was your first job?
I got my first job when I was 13. I made $3.50 an hour doing dishes, cleaning, and helping prepare food for a local catering company…I thought I was rich!
Favorite brand mascot?
I never get tired of the M&M characters. The introduction of Ms. Brown a few years back was great. I love the humor used with them!
