LB 34 passes with no new taxes to advertising agencies, marketing, public relations or ad placement.

Thank you to AAF Nebraska’s Legislative team and members of the federation for their support in opposing the Ad Tax to be used as one of the revenue sources to fund Governor Pillen’s property tax relief bill.

On August 20, 2024, the Nebraska Legislature passed a slimmed-down property tax relief package and was signed by the governor; it ends Nebraska’s special session. LB 34 was passed without any new sales taxes on goods or services which includes no new taxes to advertising agencies, marketing or ad placement and public relations.

The governor stated recently there will be no more special sessions this year.

This is great news for today, but our success may be short lived, we need to continue to share our concerns with the Nebraska Legislature in opposing any future taxes on advertising agencies, marketing or ad placement and public relations.
