Each year AAF Omaha participates in AAF’s National Club Achievement Competition. The Club Achievement Competition is designed to recognize outstanding accomplishments of AAF affiliated advertising clubs across the country and to showcase the programs and projects clubs undertake each year. AAF Omaha enters in all eight categories of the competition annually. The Membership Club Achievement Binder was completed and is a great recap of our Year in Membership! Let’s keep the momentum going!
The AdBites professional development luncheon on April 16 at Beacon Hills in Aksarben Village was informative! We heard from Ryan Soutter from Verizon Media!
On May 9th, AAF Omaha’s free member perk event, AdConnect, was held from 5-7 PM at OBI Creative’s new digs in Millard. We celebrated Cinco de Mayo week and had a Mexican “Thirsty Thursday” theme! Our friends at OBI Creative provided “Thirsty Thursday” beverages and we devoured fun Mexican food bites! Our corporate members at OBI Creative provided us with a great setting allowing our members and the advertising community fantastic networking opportunities!
Beacon Hills in Aksarben welcomed us again on May 21st for our May AdBites professional development luncheon and scholarship awards presentation. Marianne Gjerstad, Group Engagement Director at Barkley KC shared her insights on creating social content people care about. AAF Omaha proudly awarded seven scholarships to students from the University of Nebraska Kearney, the Creative Center and Creighton University. This year AAF Omaha awarded $7,500 to AAF Omaha student members.

Delving into the Latino market can seem intimidating.
