Sign On to Oppose the State of Maryland’s “Digital Advertising Tax”

The Association of National Advertisers is seeking companies and organizations potentially effected by HB 732, the Office of the Comptroller of Maryland’s proposed Digital Advertising Tax, to sign on to their petition to the State of Maryland to exclude HB 732 from its legislative docket.

Put simply, HB 732 would tax revenues from digital advertising services derived in state. Revenues would be calculated using a rather complex formula tailored to each advertiser or tax payer. More details on the proposal can be found here (https://taxnews.ey.com/news/2021-1609-maryland-comptroller-proposes-regulations-for-digital-advertising-tax).

AAF Nebraska members, or their clients, who wish to sign on to the ANA’s petition must contact Travis Frasier, manager of Government Relations, at tfrazier@ana.net by NOVEMBER 29, 2021.
